Drawings

Our first experiences with art usually includes some kind of drawing.  Most of us have been drawing since we could hold a crayon or pencil.  Drawing is the basis for formatting paintings.  It does not mean that to paint, you must draw it first.  Much like math, or any other rote practice, sometimes the drawing is in your head before you even put paint to the canvas.  Drawing becomes intuitive.

The format of a piece of art depends on spacial relations of whatever is included on the canvas or paper.  It also depends on the lightness and darkness of objects, perspective, and of course, content.

I do not have many drawings that are complete enough to display, because I don’t usually save them because they are considered planning for me.  However, I fee that it is important to see the process.
